These are made with brand new parts and all are personally tested on my Omni 7 for function after assembly to confirm proper operation.
The story about why I made these is as follows:
I wanted a 302 remote pod for my Omni 7, problems were 1) I could not easily find one at the time and 2) when I did, they were well north of 200$ for a vintage unit with who knows how much use on them…like the one below on eBay.
I started researching how it was wired and where to get the encoder and simply built my own to fit my needs. I never used the buttons on the 302 back when I had my Jupiter anyway, so I just scrubbed that part out leaving only the VFO knob. I hand cut my knob from stainless steel and put it together to see how it felt and then shared it with some fellow TenTec users who encouraged me to make up a batch for the world.
